Safe and Legal Abortion Services (CTOP)

In South Africa, the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy (CTOP) is every woman's legal right. At

our clinic, we provide safe, confidential, and legal abortion services up to 20 weeks (5 months) of

pregnancy.

What’s Included in Our Services

Our all-inclusive fees cover:

• Consultation with a qualified medical doctor
• Ultrasound to determine gestation (how far along the pregnancy is)
• Medication or procedure (depending on method)
• Pain management
• Family planning (contraceptive pills or injection)
• •Follow-up care

Medical Abortion (Pill-Based)

Medical abortion is done using tablets and is available for pregnancy up until 12 weeks

This option is non-invasive and takes place in the comfort of your home.

You may experience symptoms similar to a heavy period or miscarriage. Each person’s experience

is different, but the process generally takes a few days.

Please Note:

• Pain relief medication is included.
• A mandatory follow-up visit is required after 5 days to ensure the abortion was successful.
• No surgical "cleaning" or MVA is needed with this method unless complications arise.

Surgical Abortion (Same-Day Procedure)

We offer same-day surgical abortions for pregnancies up to 16 weeks.

The procedure is quick (15–30 minutes), and you can expect to be at the clinic for about 2–3 hours

in total, depending on gestation.

What to Expect:

• A scan will be done to confirm gestation
• You’ll be given medication to soften the cervix
• You’ll rest in a private room until the procedure
• The procedure is performed under free sedation
• You’ll rest post-procedure for 1 to 1.5 hours
• Do not drive yourself home if sedated

Follow-Up:

A mandatory review is required 5 days later to confirm success and ensure there are no

complications.

Please bring:

• Comfortable underwear
• Sanitary pads (no tampons or cups)

MVA (Manual Vacuum Aspiration) / Post-Miscarriage Care

We also provide care after incomplete miscarriage or abortion.

MVA (cleaning) is R3 000 and includes:

• Consultation
• Ultrasound
• Procedure with sedation
• Pain control injection
• Family planning (pill or injection)

Note: Medical aid is not accepted for MVA, but we’ll provide a statement for your claim.

• 0–5 weeks: R1 500
• 5 - 9 weeks: R2 000
• 10–12 weeks: R2 500
• 13 weeks: R2 800
• 14 weeks- R3 500
• 15- 16 weeks: R4 000
• 17-18 weeks: R5000
• 18-20 weeks: R6 000

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is our top priority. All consultations and procedures are conducted in a discreet and

private setting, with only one patient booked at a time.

You are welcome to bring your partner or a trusted companion to support you during your visit.

If you require a sick note, please note that it will not disclose any details about the reason for

your visit. Your confidentiality is fully respected at every step.
